Twin Thrust For Better Services: Indonesia Inaugurates MPPs, Awards OPSI 2025 Winners

Monday, 15 Dec 2025

Jakarta - Marking a proactive stride in bureaucratic reform, Indonesia's Ministry of PANRB has organized a significant event that underscores both the breadth and depth of its service improvement agenda. Minister Rini Widyantini is scheduled to lead the official launch of nine new Public Service Malls (MPP) and present the Outstanding Public Service Innovations (OPSI) awards for 2025.

The simultaneous inauguration of MPPs in nine districts is a logistical and symbolic effort to make government services more proximate to the people. This expansion is a critical component of the national strategy to ensure services are not only integrated but also physically within reach for a larger segment of the population.

The districts receiving their first MPPs include Aceh Barat, Batu Bara, Bintan, Batang Hari, Way Kanan, Cianjur, Balangan, Malinau, and Buol. This development increases the nationwide tally of such integrated service centers to 305, representing a substantial network dedicated to streamlined administrative processes.

The event also serves as the grand finale for the 2025 Public Service Innovation Competition (KIPP), where 28 initiatives will receive the OPSI award. This competition systematically identifies and promotes replicable solutions that have demonstrably improved service delivery and citizen satisfaction.

In his remarks, Deputy Minister for Public Services Otok Kuswandaru connected these two facets of the ministry's work. He articulated that the drive to build more MPPs and the campaign to foster superior innovations are interconnected forces propelling the public service transformation forward.

The selection process for OPSI 2025 winners was rigorous, focusing on innovations that deliver real-world impact. The 28 laureates, split between General and Replication groups, represent the vanguard of efforts to make public services more adaptive and responsive to societal needs.

Kuswandaru noted that technology is a common denominator among the winning innovations, enabling breakthroughs in speed, accuracy, and transparency. He underscored the ministry's focus on scaling up these successful pilots so that their benefits can be amplified for a national audience.

Citizens and stakeholders are invited to witness this milestone in public service advancement via a live digital broadcast on the official YouTube channel of the Ministry of PANRB, beginning at 09:00 WIB on December 15, 2025.
